Paul Brown, Supervisor of Recreational Services for Riverside of Miami County, was the speaker at Tipp City's Rotary Club meeting on April 28, 2010.  The Recreational Services Division administers a menu of programs, including the Special Olympics program, designed to meet the needs of the consumers and their families in Miami County.   Special Olympics activities revolve around active training and participation in a variety of sports.  Riverside of Miami County's mission is to empower children and adults with developmental disabilities to live, work and play as full members of the Miami County community.  Pictured are Paul Brown and Program Chairperson Kathy Vukovic.

Tipp City's Rotary Club speaker on April 21, 2010 was Sandy Peck co-owner of Grand Slam Sports in-door batting cages located at 99 Harolds Way Troy.  Sandy discussed that Grand Slam Sports offers in-door batting and hitting for baseball and softball, they have private lessons and clinics available and  a pro-shop with products from Easton, Louisville, DeMarini and Anderson.  Also available at Grand Slam Sports is dodge ball tournaments and  birthday party packages.  Hours of operation at Grand Slam Sports are Monday thru Friday 11am - 8pm, Saturday 9am-8pm and Sunday 10am - 6pm.  Pictured left to right are Sandy Peck and Program Chairperson Della Voris.

Rotarian Tim Evans, from Evans Title Agency, received his Paul Harris Fellow Award at the April 7, 2010 Tipp City Rotary Club meeting.  A Paul Harris Fellow Award is presented to individuals who have donated $1,000 to the Rotary International Foundation.  Tim is the thirty eighth Tipp City Rotary Club member to receive a Paul Harris Fellow out of the club's 75 members.  The Tipp City Rotary Club meets at noon each Wednesday in the basement of the Monroe Township Building.  Pictured are Tim Evans (left) and 2009-2010 President Doug Thompson.

Additionally, Nikima Barnhill, Region 7 Liaison Officer for the Ohio Secretary of State's Office spoke at the April 7, 2010 Tipp City Rotary Club meeting.  Ms. Barnhill discussed the various business service provided through the Jennifer Brunner's office, and their four goals: 1) restore trust to Ohio elections, 2) ensure business filings are quick, efficient and easy to retrieve, 3) protect Social Security numbers from public access, and 4) create and maintain a life quality index.  Pictured in the photo submitted by the Tipp City Rotary Club are Nikima Barnhill and Program Chairperson Bryan Stewart.
