Bruins Hockey Team Joins Chamber Of Commerce 11/19/2009
 The Troy Bruins were officially inducted into the Troy Chamber of Commerce in a special ceremony last Thursday night at The Caroline restaurant in downtown Troy. Joining seven other Troy-based businesses, Troy Bruins Hockey, LLC was approved for membership and Bruins President Ricks Szabo and Vice President JT Szabo were on hand to receive their certification plaque and be formally welcomed. In addition, Rick Szabo gave the full membership in attendance a short presentation on the Troy-based and family-owned minor league hockey team calling the Historic Hobart Arena home.  Dave Hoffman from the US Marine Corp. Reserve spoke at the Tipp City Rotary Club meeting on Veterans Day, November 10, 2009. Dave discussed the Toys for Tots program which he coordinates for Miami, Shelby, Auglaize, and Mercer Counties. Nationally, Toys for Tots started in 1946, and has grown to in 2008 over 7 million needy children received toys.
