MCP Business Page Is Now MCP Government 08/08/2010
MiamiCountyPost.com, as part of our ongoing trek to create the best free online news & entertainment destination for the communities of Miami County, Ohio, have changed the format of the "Business" page effective immediately. Now called "MCP Government", this page will be citizen's government access destination, complete with council and committee agendas, meeting minutes, reports, schedules and more on each municipality inside the county. MCP Founder & Publisher JT Szabo noted that "the change will allow us to continue providing important content not found elsewhere in an easy to navigate package...and of course free". As part of the site's ongoing "beta" phase, changes such as this are common as the site continually evolves to meet the needs and demands of it's ever-increasing reader base. Szabo expects more similar changes, and as he describes "tweaks", to the organization and content itself in the coming weeks. "We're growing everyday, and we thank every one of our readers for checking out what a new kind of local news & entertainment looks like" added Szabo. MiamiCountyPost.com is the ONLY 100% free, 100% local news & entertainment website focused on Miami County. Add Comment Taxedermy Very Much Alive In Miami County 08/08/2010

![]() By JT Szabo For the first time in over forty years, the YMCA has re-branded itself complete with new logo and mission, to become the premeir cause-driven organization focused on building healthy kids and communities. As part of the re-branding, both Miami County YMCA branches in Piqua and Troy follow suit with the re-branding, as it will be full rolled out in the coming weeks. While the name and logo may have changed, the services and facilities offered across the country have not changed, nor is existing membership affected. Yet, for many, it is the sign of the times, as the organization, once made popular in the famous disco song of the same name, reflects the current issues of obesity and community cohesiveness in a time of openness and acceptance across all races and religions. Yet, despite the noble reasoning behind the change, one particular comedian couldn't help but comment through his twitter account, stating "@ConanOBrien: The YMCA has officially shortened it's name to "The Y". You know times are tough when letters are even getting laid off." TROY CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE MEETING NOTICE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL 100 S.
