BARBARA A. SCHERER Barbara A. Scherer, 84, formerly of 1017 Elm St., Piqua, died at 6:22 pm Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the upper Valley Medical Center. She was born September 21, 1925 in Troy to the late Charles J. and Artie (Alexander) Schnell. She married Carl R. Scherer October 6, 1963 in Troy, he preceded her in death November 9, 2007. Survivors include a sister, Gene Moore of Tipp City; and five sisters-in-law, Luella Scherer, Frances Scherer, Barbara Scherer all of Piqua, Helen Scherer of Wichita Kansas; and Penny Sue Conn of St. Paris. She was preceded in death by a sister. Mrs. Scherer graduated Troy High School, was a homemaker, and worked as a secretary most of her life. A private graveside service will be conducted Monday, March 1, 2010 at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
