 MONICA F. DODSON Monica F. Dodson, 86, formerly of 808 W. Ash St., Piqua, died at 2:55 am, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Covington Care Center. She was born April 5, 1923 in Medina to the late Royal L. and Frances F. (Schaffer) Burden. She married Terry J. Dodson who preceded her in death in 1978. Survivors include a daughter, Katrinka “Kathy” (Mark “Butch”) Thompson of Piqua; a son J. D. (Sharon Mott) Dodson of Piqua; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eleven brothers and a sister. Mrs. Dodson was a homemaker, a member of the Covington V.F.W. and was active in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge # 3998 where she served as an officer for many years. She enjoyed the game of golf as evidenced by her years of volunteering for the Covington Eagles Golf Outing. A celebration of her life will begin at 10:00 am Friday March 12, 2010 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Brooks Dodson and Tony Teague as facilitators. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Private interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Church Food Pantry, 200 W.
